September//Summer 1995

It's still summer, but fall is quickly approaching. This year, it seems like autumn is to arrive early, what with it being chiller than usual. It's not cold enough to take a heavy coat around, but be sure to have a light sweater in tow. The weather has been unpredictable lately.

Hogsmeade
[ ]The Hog's Head Inn
Located a block or so off High Street, the Hog's Head Inn has been a fixture of Hogsmeade for hundreds of years. A worn-out wooden sign hangs over the door, advertising with a "wild boar's severed head leaking blood onto the white cloth around it". It's known for its cheapness, at least relative to the Three Broomsticks down the street, and attracts a "shall we say... interesting clientele."

00
[ ]Dervish & Banges
Shop that sells and repairs "magical instruments and stuff".

00
[ ]Madam Puddifoot's
A small, cramped tea shop with decor on the tacky side of frilly (such as floating golden cherubs throwing pink confetti), located ust off High Street. The only Hogwarts students who seem to patronize the place are trysting couples.

00
[ ]Scrivenshaft's Quill Shop
A common supply store in Hogsmeade. It sells everything supply wise that you need for Hogwarts.

00
[ ]Gladrags Wizardwear
Wearing holes in your robes? Forgot to bring your dress robes for those special balls? Look no further than Gladrags for all your wizarding apparel.

00
[ ]Zonko's Joke Shop
Zonko's is a favourite place for Hogwarts students to shop. They carry Dungbombs, Hiccup Sweets, Frog Spawn Soap, and Nose-Biting Teacups.

00
[ ]Honeydukes Sweetshop
A sweetshop, owned by Ambrosius Flume and his wife, which is filled with "shelves upon shelves of the most succulent-looking sweets imaginable". In addition to the standard wizarding candy that is sold there, the owners also make their own fudge and chocolate. For obvious reasons, the shop is quite a popular destination for Hogwarts students when visiting Hogsmeade on the weekends.

00
[ ]The Three Broomstick
A well-known inn and a frequent haunt of Hogwarts students. It's warm and comfortable, is often packed. a great spot to drink butterbeer, although they also serve firewhisky, gillywater, mulled mead, red currant rum, and even cherry syrup and soda with ice and an umbrella.

00
[ ]The Shrieking Shack
Falsely rumored to be "the most haunted building in Britain," the Shrieking Shack is a favorite stop on any Hogsmeade visit. The shack cannot be broken into from the outside, it must be entered instead through a secret passageway.

00
England
[ ]The Leaky Cauldron
Built by Daisy Dodderidge around 1500 "to serve as a gateway between the non-wizarding world and Diagon Alley", the Leaky Cauldron has remained a famous and popular place for five hundred years. Located not in Diagon Alley proper but on the outside, on Charing Cross Road in the heart of London

00
[ ]Diagon Alley (10 sub-boards)
This is the infamous shopping center for all your wizarding needs. Very crowded near september.

00
[ ]King's Cross Station
In northwestern London lies Kings Cross Station, a Muggle railway station that is one of the busiest in the city. It's a perfectly ordinary station, with big plastic numbers over each track and guards who have never heard of Hogwarts School. However, every September 1, as the clock overhead approaches eleven o'clock and the InterCity 125 pulls into platform nine, a strange crowd turns the occasional Muggle head. The crowd is wizarding children, bearing enormous trunks and caged owls, making their way toward - and then through - the solid metal barrier between platforms nine and ten.

00
[ ]The Ministry of Magic Headquarters (12 sub-boards)
The headquarters of the Ministry of Magic is located in the heart of London. The actual structure is all underground, although magical windows show whatever weather Magical Maintenance has chosen for the day, from bright sunshine to hurricanes.

00
[ ]St. Mungo's Hospital
The entrance to St. Mungo's is concealed behind an abandoned red-brick London department store called Purge and Dowse, Ltd. on a Muggle street. Unlike, say, the Leaky Cauldron, St. Mungo's is visible to passing Muggles, who merely believe the sign on the front that the store is "Closed for Refurbishment." In the front window, a dummy dressed in outdated styles serves as the gatekeeper; wizards wanting to enter do so by talking to the dummy, and then walking straight through the window.
